It details that "Baby Boomers", the 76 MILLION people born in the US between 1941 and 1964, are savvy home buyers and investors; of the 1.1M new homes sold in 2003, buyers 55 or older accounted for nearly one-fifth of those homes! Boomers also account for an estimated $2 TRILLION in spending power - just staggering numbers!
Perhaps most noteworthy, Phoenix was ranked the #1 Metro Area for retired home buyers - here is the list:
