Everybody is talking about it. The real estate market is cooling down. Most people are actually rejoicing over this. It is not a bad market at all, it is actually back to normal. Not everyone realizes it yet, thinking that their home should sell in a day, but listings are growing and there is more balance. Even considering this normal market, some astounding numbers were just released.
Median home values nationwide increased almost 15% for the 3rd quarter of 2005 over the same period in 2004. In the Phoenix market that figure was an amazing 55%. Yes you read that right. These statistics come from the National Association of Realtors(NAR).
The Phoenix area market is poised to shatter last year's record numbers for total new home permits and sales.
