Tax Credit

Hi to all - hope you had a great weekend!

There was a recently enacted Energy Policy Act of 2005, which provides tax credits for homeowners to make energy efficent improvements.  There are two kinds of improvements which qualify: qualified energy improvements, and residental energy property expenditures.  Tonight, we'll cover the former...

Qualified Energy Improvements would involve:
Any insulation material or system designed to reduce heat loss or heat gain of the home
Exterior windows or skylights
Exterior doors
Metal Roofing installed on the home

The credit is limited to 10% of qualifying expenditures and to a maximum lifetime credit of $500.  Be sure to contact your Tax Professional for full details, but it's great that the government will reward you for improving your home!  By making your home more efficient, you not only lower your utility bills, but also reduce energy consumption, which leads to a cleaner environment - everybody wins!

If you would like to save some time and effort, please see our 2 Queen Creek listings - they are both BRAND NEW homes, and are ENERGYSTAR Certified!
