Cars& Golf and Football..OH MY!
Just like Dorothy on a dream trip to OZ, many people venture to the Phoenix / Scottsdale area in the winter in search of their dreams as well. Usually dreams of cars and golf. Sounds of lions and tigers and bears - Oh My, are replaced with Cars and Golf and Football - OH MY!!! Yes, this year it is football too, with the arrival of Super Bowl XLII.
Thousands of people come from across North America and around the world to visit the Valley of the Sun every winter to see or participate in the many car auctions including Barrett Jackson, Russo and Steel, RM, Kruse and Silver. In addition around the same time is the FBR Open (Formerly the Phoenix Open) held at the Tournament Players Club in Scottsdale. Before it's all done, the Super Bowl will be held in Glendale at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Hotel rooms are booked and there are many private homes up for rent as well.
Many of these visitors are repeat visitors, and for many it will be the first time. People tend to visit for these events and find that there is so much more. Plenty to do and of course don't forget the fabulous weather! So, if you are coming to town, you may just want to stay. Of course we can help with that. Now is a great time to buy, rates are still low, prices have corrected, and markets in many areas near these events have stabilized. If you are visiting from Canada, the Canadian dollar is trading at all time highs against the US dollar. There is no better time to buy your winter retreat.
