Tips for fighting West Nile Virus
Hello -
We are fortunate here in AZ that West Nile Virus is not a common problem. However, we need to take steps to ensure that remains the case!
Maricopa County has an agressive plan to combat the spread of West Nile by finding and treating mosquito breeding sites and eliminating adult mosquitoes.
TAKE THESE PRECAUTIONS TO REDUCE YOUR RISK OF CONTRACTING WEST NILE:
- Keep your decorative fountains and swimming pools/spas clean and operational.
- Maintain your evaporative cooler.
- Repair damaged window and door screens.
- When outdoors, apply a mosquito repellant, or wear long sleeves and pants to prevent mosquito bites. (Not always easy here!)
