Do you trust your agent?

Hi, Today we are going to provide some information you might find odd. There was an article in a trade magazine recently that pointed out results of a recent poll.

“A 2006 Harris Poll surveyed American adult consumers and asked them to rate the level of trust they placed in certain professions when it came to getting the professional advice that was right for them.

Of the 11 professions featured in the survey, Real Estate agents finished a dismal 10th. According to the survey, people put more trust in mechanics and lawyers than they did in real estate professionals”

Now, you might ask why on Earth would we point out something like that?!  Well there are a few reasons.  First, we realize that all professions have some weak links.  We have also learned over the years that a happy customer will recommend someone to a few of their friends, but an unhappy customer will tell everyone they meet.

We have come across our share of agents that don’t seem to be qualified to be performing the duties of our profession, or don’t look out for the best interest of their clients.  It is these “bad apples” that you often hear about, while the majority of agents perform their duties  as they should.

We point this out because we take great pride in what we do.  We have turned down business, rather than work with someone who wants to bend the rules.  We have also heard comment such as “Realtors are greedy, all they want is the money.”  We can also simply state that we always make recommendations to our clients based on what we feel is in the best interest of the clients, not our interests.  We can proudly say that the majority of our business comes from referrals and repeat business from people who we have assisted before.  What better testimony to our ethics and duty to our clients is there?  We are not in this for quick money, but for the long haul, and know that providing service in the best interest of our clients is also in our best interest.

If you have any questions on this or any other real estate matter, please feel free to contact us.  We look forward to you being a client for life!

Have a great week!
