Yet another redevelopment project is slated for South Scottsdale - the current K Mart shopping center will be razed, and a new Lowe's Home Improvement Center will be built on that site. There couldn't be a better spot for such a center, as the S Scottsdale area has undergone a major revitalization. The ASU campus coming in at Scottsdale Rd and McDowell seems to have been the catalyst, and within 2 miles you have a new LA Fitness, a new Senior Living complex, and just south of the ASU location, new multi-family housing will be offered this winter. Many homeowners in this area have totally remodeled their homes, bringing value to the community.
