We have spent a lot of time in the past week or so working with home buyers, primarily in Desert Ridge, North Phoenix and Scottsdale.  With an MLS lockbox on a home, the listing agent can look up who showed their listing and when.  Often times, they will call us for feedback - much as we do when other agents show our listings.  It's a great way to get a feel for how the public and other professionals view your pricing, home condition, and other factors that go into selling a home.

Typically, if we show 10 homes, we might have 2-3 agents call us for feedback.  Lately, it has been closer to 70-80%.

It was publicized today on www.azcentral that the city of Phoenix ranks 4th in the nation in Parkland-per-capita!  Boasting 26 acres of park per 1,000 residents, Phoenix blows the average of 17.5 acres out of the water!

What does this mean to our city?  It's just one more way our quality of life exceeds the national average.  It allows us to preserve native land, so future generations can enjoy it and appreciate what our region looked like before

In the business of real estate, many agents, brokers and owners are involved in various charities, whether it be donating a portion of your commission to a foundation, giving your time, or sponsoring a youth team.  The owner of RE/MAX Excalibur, Howard Lein, just took it to the next level.

Howard has been a volunteer with "Sentinels of Freedom", a non-profit started to assist disabled war vets in getting back on their feet and returning to the work force.  Locally in Scottsdale, we have our first soldier, Ryan Job.  He was blinded by a sniper's shot in Iraq, yet still has the desire and heart to get back in the work force.

Today in the AZ Republic, there is an article detailing a real estate market forecast for '07 and '08, as provided by NAR (National Association of REALTORS). 

Much as we've been predicting, so have our peers - we foresee the real estate market rebounding in '08.  The forecast from NAR is based on nationwide perception; we anticipate the Phoenix market exceeding those expectations based on job growth, climate, and cost of living.

There was an article on AZCentral this past week detailing some of the continuing tremendous growth in the Desert Ridge area of Phoenix.  In a brief summary, sales continue strong in the current new-build communities of Fireside, Toscana and Bella Monte.  Prep work is well under way for future housing by Meritage and DR Horton.  CityNorth is breezing along finally with steel going up on the first phase.  To see the full article, Click Here.
