We've said it before, and we'll say it again:  Rents in Phoenix are increasing, and will continue to do so!

Simple "Supply and Demand".

I was planning my next blog on the Desert Ridge area of Phoenix to be about schools.  A newly announced accolade for Pinnacle High School makes this the perfect time.  Pinnacle High School, in the Paradise Valley Unified School District, was just named among the best high schools in the country by Newsweek.  The magazine selected high schools using a scale called the Challenge Index, which measured each school's rate of participation in college-level tests like advanced placement programs.  Newsweek has been running this list each year since 1998. We came across a great article, courtesy of The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).  We have heard many horror stories about untrustworthy contractors, we thought it would be helpful to share these tips:

1.  You can't verify the name, address or telephone number of the remodeler.

2.  The salesperson tries to pressure you into signing a contract.

3.  The salesperson tells you that a special price is available only if you sign today.

4.  No references are furnished.

5.  Information you receive from the remodeler  is out-of-date or
