Great news for Desert Ridge Dwellers and other North East Valley residents:  The Klutznick Group, developers of the coming upscale shopping center CityNorth, located at Desert Ridge in NE Phoenix, have inked a deal with Nordstrom's to locate their third Arizona store there. Many other upscale retailers often follow where Nordstrom's goes.  We have mentioned CityNorth in this blog before.  It is an upscale live-work-play development that will have over 1 million square feet of shopping, laid out in a town center feel with pedestrian boulevards and more.  The development will also include office, residential, entertainment and hotel space.

Congratulations to the Smiths on the sale and closing of their home today. 

Yesterday, we mentioned accompanying a client on a walkthrough and document signing appointment.  Today we took care of another aspect of selling and preparing a home.  We have many out-of-state clients.  Helping these clients takes the extra steps that many agents aren't willing to do.  This particular property needed a service call under warranty, and obviously the owners are not able to attend to this.  We met the technician and provided access in the owner's absence.  We go the extra mile to make sure that everything is as easy

Today, we had a walk-through and signing for one of our buyer-clients, Melanie.  She bought a condo conversion at Monterra, in Scottsdale.  This was her first home purchase, so we accompanied her to both.  We typically extend this offer to all our clients, but especially to first-time buyers - it can be really intimidating to go over loan documents, settlement statements, etc without a 'friendly face' there to assist with questions!

Hi, Today we are going to provide some information you might find odd. There was an article in a trade magazine recently that pointed out results of a recent poll.

“A 2006 Harris Poll surveyed American adult consumers and asked them to rate the level of trust they placed in certain professions when it came to getting the professional advice that was right for them.

Of the 11 professions featured in the survey, Real Estate agents finished a dismal 10th. According to the survey, people put more trust in mechanics and lawyers than they did in real estate professionals”

According to Forbes.com, Phoenix is the 2nd best city in the US to find a job, second only to Washington, DC!  They used U.S. government data supplied by Moody's Economy.com, and ranked the largest 100 metropolitan areas according to their unemployment rates, cost of living, median household income, job growth and income growth.

That is more great news for the Phoenix metro area; we've said it before, and we'll say it again - Phoenix will continue to draw more and more residents, keeping our housing market afloat even when others sink.
