Sky Crossing in NE Phoenix under way!

Sky Crossing is a  410 acre parcel of land at the NW corner of Black Mountain Parkway and Deer Valley Rd and is a joint venture by Taylor Morrison (Sanctuary @ Desert Ridge) and Pulte (Fireside @ Desert Ridge). The land is zoned for 15 residential parcels consisting of 9 different single family detached home products ranging from 1500-5000 sqft of living space. 3 of those parcels are zoned for  multi family, but from what I can tell from the original proposal, only two of those will be multi family with roughly 320 homes.  These may be similar in concept to the Villages at Aviano, or other duplex and triplex homes found in Fireside.  The actual product has not yet been announced. 

There will be gated and non gated sections, amenity centers, pocket parks, and an elementary school. Models are expected to open spring 2018 and the first homes could close winter of 2018. .  The overall look and feel of the landscaping and hardscapes will resemble Aviano and Fireside yet still be distinct.

Sky Crossing is NOT part of the Desert Ridge Master Plan, but it has been annexed as part of the Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVUSD). Until the new elementary school is open, students will be attending Wildfire Elementary. There is no timeline yet from the district on construction

Black Mountain Blvd will be expanded to 6 lanes north of Deer Valley Road with a 24' wide median and be widened in 2018. Deer Valley Road will also be expanded to 6 lanes with median and that will begin in July 2017.  The community center is expected to  look and be very similar to the Aviano/Fireside centers.  There will be gated and non gated sections. The map below shows this with the brown representing gated areas and purple the non gated The existing power lines will be buried, similar to what was done in Fireside immediate SE of Sky Crossing.
