Foreclosure rates in the NE Phoenix metro

January 30th, 2012
HI,

This past weekend, I had a question from a potential client about "another wave" of foreclosures.  This concept has been discussed quite a bit over the past few years.  There is a lot of debate about whether it exists or in what form.  The current reality is that inventory levels have dropped significantly and if there was a large backlog of already foreclosed homes, then we would be see ...

Canadian buyers and perception

January 29th, 2012
HI,

Yesterday I participated in a seminar  held in St. Albert, Alberta for Canadians considering a purchase of property in the US.  I was one of 3 agents from resort areas that participated via Skype.  I love doing these not only for the potential business but to provide the information.  It makes me a better agent as I prepare, but also because I get questions that I can't always answer on ...

Phoenix (Housing) Rising

January 20th, 2012
I read an article yesterday that backs up a lot of what I have said recently in blogs and in my emails.  The Phoenix market is very competitive right now, especially in the lower price ranges.  But we aren't alone.  The article was on the Bloomberg news site and discussed various areas that are seeing multiple offers, in crazy numbers, on lots of properties.  And the great thing is that it is ...

The future of the US economy

January 20th, 2012
There is a constant barrage from all angles dealing with the economy, where it is, where it's going and whether there is any hope out there for the masses.  I've seen lots of gloom and doom, plenty of upbeat coverage, and of course most of all, politicized coverage.

I just read an article in AZ Business magazine by Robert Keats, founder of KeatsConnelly, the largest cross-border specialty fi ...

P F Chang's Rock & Roll Marathon

January 11th, 2012
HI,

Yesterday I mentioned that January isn't all about the auto auctions.  That is so true.  This weekend is the PF Chang's Rock and Roll Marathon.  While the actual event is on Sunday, 1/15, there are other events surrounding the actual race that start a couple days before.  Sunday, race day actually features a marathon and half marathon.  What sets the Rock and Roll Marathon apart from oth ...
