Arizona Biomedical Corridor near Desert Ridge
Desert Ridge is a fantastic place to live. I have blogged about this many times before. Great schools, wonderful neighborhoods, shopping, dining and easy freeway access. The Mayo Clinic Hospital and it's under construction Cancer facility with the advanced Proton Beam treatment is adjacent to Desert Ridge.
The Mayo facility is expected to be the first part of the Arizona Biomedical Corridor planned along Mayo Blvd between the existing campus and 64th St and north to the Loop 101. The plans for the corridor are fantastic and have drawn international attention. The hope is to eventually have 600 acres included in the corridor with thousands of high tech and high paying jobs. It should be a medical destination bringing patients, and doctors from around the world.
This will be great for the overall area, which is already a fantastic place to live.
