Record Year for Phoenix New Homes

Hello....

Once again, there was more info in today's Arizona Republic detailing the phenominal year in real estate.
Through November, 58,491 new homes had been permitted in the Valley.  With monthly permit numbers typically exceeding 4,000, it's clear that last year's stunning-at-the-time milestone of 60,872 permits is about to be bested.

The overall feel nationwide is that the real estate market is starting to bog down.  Again, that is NATIONALLY.  The paper points out that we still have less inventory in the MLS system than we did 2 years ago, before the market blew up - that means housing is still in demand.  People continue to move to Phoenix faster than they move away, and jobs are available valley-wide.  Yes, we are seeing longer days-on-market, and builders are phasing out lotteries and waiting lists - the market is going from 'white hot' to 'red hot'.  Which still is very, very good - we're just a little spoiled.

Have a great night -
