Best places for young pe
Results of a national poll named Chandler, Scottsdale and Tempe in the top 100 among more than 700 other locations for the best places for young people to live. The honor is bestowed by America's Promise -The Alliance for Youth, a national group founded by former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell.
Each community was judged on the educational achievements and physical and mental health of its younger residents, as well as the resources available to young people, said America's Promise spokesman Mike McGill.
The 17-page application addressed each community's ability to fulfill the five scenarios that America's Promise deems critical to a young person's well-being: caring adults close by, safe places to learn and grow, a healthy start and future, an effective education and a chance to do community service. We already knew this is a great place to call home. Now the world knows it as well.
